Similarly, Buddhists around the world want to visit the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. According to the ‘Tourism Statistics of Nepal 2015’ published by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, the pioneer of peace.

In 2015, one lakh 29 thousand 180 people visited Lumbini, while in 2014, one lakh 32 thousand 926 people visited Lumbini. Similarly, about 90,000 tourists have visited Pashupatinath temple in the fiscal year 2072/73 BS. According to the Pashupati Area Development Fund, the highest number of visits was one lakh 66 thousand in the last fiscal year 2071/72 BS.

Due to the earthquake and blockade, the number of tourist visits has decreased by 53 percent in 2015. Member Secretary of Pashupati Area Development Fund Dr Govinda Tandon says that the number of religious tourists has been increasing recently. Two types of religious tourists (Indian and third country) come to Nepal. According to Tandal, Pashupatinath is believed to be incomplete without visiting Pashupatinath of Nepal even if Indian tourists visit Chardham in India.

Tourists from third countries come to see the living heritage sites, monasteries, temples, etc. of the Pashupati region. On the other hand, Pashupatinath is also seen as important for religious harmony. “Religious tourists come to see the living heritage, various religious activities, and the burning of corpses,” he said.

Tourists from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, UK, USA, Australia, Canada and other countries come for religious tourism. Tourists from China, Thailand, Japan, Europe and other countries come to see the heritage. According to the Ministry of Tourism, one lakh 43 thousand 887 tourists visited Pashupatinath in 2011, one lakh 39 thousand 885 in 2012 and one lakh 56 thousand 858 in 2013.

Three lakh 84 thousand 321 people have visited the National Parks and Conservation Area. In 2015, five lakh 38 thousand 970 tourists and in 2014, seven lakh 90 thousand 118 tourists came to visit. Tourist traffic has decreased by 32 percent compared to the previous year due to the earthquake and blockade.

For those looking for a great holiday destination, Mugu’s Rara can be a great option.When you reach Rara, also known as the paradise of the earth, anyone can forget the natural beauty.Rara can be easily reached in 2 days by road from Surkhet. Rara can be observed on the same day as the flight from Surkhet, the headquarters  of Karnali.

If you want to go by plane, you can only see Gamgadhi of Mugu, Talcha Airport and Rara, so the road from Surkhet to Rara can be useful. It takes at least 6 days for Rara from Surkhet to Rara. The public bus fare from Surkhet to Mugu’s Talcha Airport is Rs 1,700.On the first day of walking from Surkhet, one can easily reach Nagma of Kalikot through Rakum Karnali via Ranimatta of Dailekh. Khaptad

Khaptad, considered to be the spiritual geography of the beautiful Far West,This place in Nepal has come to be known as the paradise of the earth. In the Skanda Purana, it is believed that Yudhisthira went to heaven through Khaptad called Khecharadri and there is a spiritual history that Khaptad Baba lived in Khaptad for half a century.

There are religious temples including Tribenidham, Sahastralinga and Kedardhunga in Khaptad. A fair is held in Tribenidham during Ganga Dussehra. There is a belief that bathing in Tribeni will save one from sin. Khaptad is 3276 meters above sea level. There are 22 roofs. A variety of birds, plants and herbs are found. Khaptad National Park, spread over 225 square kilometers, falls in Bajura, Doti, Bajhang and Achham.

The Kathmandu-Dhangadhi highway is 662 kilometers long. However, Dhangadhi can be reached in 55 minutes by air from Kathmandu. Dhangadhi-Silgadhi 200 km. Eight hours by bus. Or Kathmandu-Dhangadhi 1 hour flight. After walking from Silgadhi, the district headquarters of Doti, one night stay in Zigranam and the next day you walk for 8 hours to reach the park headquarters. Muktinath

Located in Mustang district, Muktinath is considered as an excellent religious and natural destination. When you set out on a journey from Kathmandu to Muktinath, you must first reach Beni. Beni is 282 kilometers from Kathmandu. Then Beni-Jomsom is 75 kilometers. However, the flight from Jomsom to Pokhara is only 18 minutes. Then Jomsom-Muktinath is only 22 kilometers.

One can spend a night in Thini village, two kilometers south of Jomsom. Jomsom-Muktinath jeeps and buses run. Jeeps and motorbikes reach Thini.

 

Kalinchok

Kalinchok,This place in Nepal is located in Dolakha district which can also be considered as a holiday destination. Kalinchok is a power back of 3,700 meters above sea level. There are ample hotels in Kalinchok Base Camp Kuri Bhanjyang. Where rooms are available for five hundred to three thousand rupees. It takes an hour to walk from Kuri Bazaar to the temple. Kalinchok offers interesting views of sunrise, sunset and mountains. From there, Langtang, Gaurishankar, Numbur to Everest can be seen. Kathmandu-Charikot is 133 kilometers long and Charikot-Kalinchok is 17 kilometers away. It takes 6 hours to reach Charikot by bus from the old bus park of Kathmandu and 2 hours by jeep to reach Kuri from Charikot.

 

Lumbini

Lumbini, located at a distance of about 300 kilometers from Kathmandu, is considered to be very famous for its historical views. It is still considered one of the best destinations for Buddhists around the world.

There is a Mayadevi temple in Lumbini. The temple contains ruins from the third to the seventh century BC.There is also a stone commemorating Siddhartha’s birth. There is a fourth century statue. That reflects Siddhartha’s birth. Lumbini was inscribed on the World Heritage List by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1997 after experts unearthed a pillar and stone during excavations at Lumbini from 1992-1996.

As Lumbini is a large area, you have to travel by rickshaw, bicycle and taxi. There are monasteries of different countries in the monastery area. There is a canal in the middle. Boats run on 1600 meters of the canal. On one side of the canal is the lamp of unbroken peace. There is the Lumbini Museum. Once there are small and big hotspots in Lumbini, you can stay for 2-3 nights. At present, hotels in Lumbini sell tour packages ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 for two nights and three days.

 

Halesidham

Halesidham,one of the sacred places in Nepal is considered a common pilgrimage site for Hindus, Buddhists and Kirantis. Halesi philosophy has the belief of liberation from misery, promotion, liberation from drought, benefit of children and good health. The cave has Dharmadwar, Janmadwar and Papadwar. There are two large caves and other caves nearby.

After entering from Charali of Mechi Highway, Chiabari welcomes Kanyam. You can go by car or bike on the winding roads in the middle of the garden. Sandakpur, the highest hill of Ilam, is at an altitude of 3636 meters. Dozens of mountains including Kumbhakarna and Kanjanjangha can be seen from there.

You have to pay around Rs 10,000 to pay the bus fare and spend two nights in Ilam. After traveling 690 km from Koteshwor in Kathmandu, you reach Ilam Bazaar in about 14 hours.

 

Swargadwari

Muktinath,Mustang is a major destination for hiking and recreational tourists and a major pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. You can easily do the journey  from Pokhara to Beni in any vehicle. It takes about three and a half hours to cover the distance of about 90 km. It is easier to travel from Beni to Muktinath,Mustang in a medium length bus or four wheeler jeep. However, even in a two-wheeler car, the journey to Muktinath,Mustang  can be completed with a little effort. It takes about 6 hours to cover a distance of 100 km from Beni to Muktinath,Mustang.

On the way to Muktinath, Dulegonda, Pokhara, Kushma, Baglung and Beni are places to visit. A four-day trip from Pokhara will take you all the way around. There is a Dhorbarahi temple 5 km to the left of Dulegauda in Tanahu, 28 km from Pokhara. It is a temple of the goddess surrounded by beautiful scenery on a cool and green hill. The source of clean water and big fish sports is also an attraction here in Muktinath,Mustang.

Journey Towards Muktinath,Mustang

For the journey towards Muktinath,after entering Pokhara, the places to visit are Parangliding.  Sarangkot, Fewatal, Gupteswar Cave and Patle Chhango. The wettest place in Nepal is on the road from Lumle Pokhara to Kushma. Kushma Bazaar, 60 km from Pokhara, can be reached in about two and a half hours. There are four suspension bridges from Kushma Bazaar to the villages. Two suspension bridges connecting Jyadi and Mudikuwa on Modi river. And two suspension bridges connecting Kaiya and Kurgha in Kaligandaki have been constructed.This is how you start journey to Muktinath,Mustang.

On the way to Muktinath,these suspension bridges, which are more than 300 meters long and more than 150 meters high. And have become a tourist destination. Another tallest bridge for bungee jumping in Kaligandaki is currently under construction. Alpeshwar Mahadev Cave can be reached in 15 minutes from Jyadi Bridge. The cave is about 1 km long. There are pools of water inside the cave. Similarly, there is another important Gupteswar Mahadev cave in Kushma which is miles away from reaching Mustang.

From Kushma to Kagbeni, Kaligandaki does not leave with the passenger. Beni is at a distance of 28 km or an hour and a half from Kushma. Right in the middle of it is the Baglung Kalika Bhagwati temple on the west side of Kaligand. There is a main entrance on the west side and a steep goreto staircase on the east side of Kaligandaki. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Bhagwati Temple.

This makes you reach half way towards Muktinath,Mustang.The Bhagwati Temple, is located in the middle of the forest. It has facilities like painting, sanitation, trekking route, forged bar, toilet, drinking water. There is a small zoo for the fun of children. Donation boxes have been set up at all possible places for offerings and space has been set aside for beggars. The floor is cleaned with a regular brush. If you clean the tail or vacuum cleaner regularly, there will be fragrance in the gold.

There is a temple of Galeshwar Mahadev at a distance of 3 km from Beni Bus Park. It  is the last stopping point before reaching Mustang. A Shivalaya, a temple and 108 Shivalingas have been established on the same rock with an area of ​​nine ropanis. Located on the west side of Kaligandaki, this temple is very beautiful and delightful in itself. It is said that the shape of various deities can be seen on this rock which is flat but not complete. Pitru Shraddha is also performed here by bathing in Kaligandaki. There is even a tank in the whole rock.

After going towards Mustang from Galeshwor, you can reach the beautiful Rupse waterfall at a distance of 27 km. There is a Rupse waterfall on the left side of the road and you can walk to the blind gorge on the right side. Rupse waterfall Indicates,Your arrival to Muktinath,Mustang is near. This is the deepest gorge built by Kaligandaki. After a short journey, the hot water tank is reached. It is also found that bathing in water regularly is believed to cure diseases.

Kagweni,Mustang is reached by looking at Chauri and Changra who walk in search of Butyan on the soil and rocks. Kagbeni Bazaar is located in the middle of Muktinath,Mustang  24 km from Jomsong. Here the father is paid homage by bathing in Kaligandaki. It can be felt that not enough attention has been paid to the cleanliness of the place of worship and the cleanliness of the streets of the market.

There is no lush greenery in the area, but the surrounding white and clear mountains provide beauty. The temple is reached after a 1 km walk from Muktinath’s car parking. There is a temple of Vishnu in Muktinath . The water from the melting snow has been divided into 108 Gaumukhi streams. There is also a large statue of Lord Buddha nearby.

The horse-drawn carriage, the private carriageway, and the passenger carriageway are the same in Mustang .Similarly, hotels and shops are allowed to operate within 200 meters of the Muktinath temple. Local vehicles reach there. Similarly, horse and motorcycle riders can reach close to 100 meters around Muktinath . Due to this, the roads have become dirty and congestion has increased. Lomangthang can be reached by crossing 42 km from Kagbeni. There are ancient attractive and beautiful caves here.
