The plain brown with well streakes underpart as well as pale eye are the attraction of our forest but are in endangered list. The environment degradation is the threat to this unique bird and has become the attraction of interest for the people around the world .

 

One of the highest population of  it (a rare endemic bird) is found in forest of Gadi -Siraichuli .Not only this bird but also various other species are also in the verge of extinct due destruction of forest and construction road inside the forest . It is threatened mostly by clearance of scrubs and expansion of urban areas .This species are found in the Godawari and Pulchok area in Kathmandu valley .

Hundred of bird lover comes to Nepal just to see this rare spiny babbler . It was first recorded by the British resident in Kathmandu .They are friquently seen in Khaptad National Park ,Pokhara and around few areas but its proper nuber is still not recorded. Protection of this bird  is not just for the biological diversity and eco-system but also for the attraction point for tourist and for tourism industry .
