Look at a picture, look at a television. Lord Vishnu appears in different incarnations. In some he is seen riding on an eagle, in others he is seen with conch, wheel, mace, padma. In many pictures, he is seen sleeping comfortably in a snake bed. Hinduism calls this giant snake Sheshnag. This illustration has special significance.

He has taken some incarnations. He is considered a symbol of liberating the world from the sea of sin. The eagle is the vehicle of Lord Vishnu. But, Sheshnag is also attached to each of his incarnations.

When sin had increased in the world, Vishnu had saved the world. Sheshnag is a symbol of ‘infinity’, meaning one who has no limits. He guided mankind at the appropriate time. This is why he is shown wrapped in a snake.

Every time Vishnu was born in some form and shape to liberate the world. According to Hinduism, Sheshnag is a symbol of his energy, in which he rests.

According to Hindu mythology, Sheshnag has placed all the planets in his horoscope. And, he chants the mantras of Lord Vishnu. If Lord Vishnu is the symbol of the entire universe, planets and stars.

Sheshnag is not only a place of rest for him , but also a protector. At that time, when Lord Krishna was being brought home from prison by his father Vasudeva, Sheshnag had protected him from the storm. That is, Sheshnag is also a defender.

Sheshnag sided with Lord Vishnu in destroying evil forces. In the Treta era, Sheshnag took the form of Lakshmana, in the Dwapar era, the form of Balaram. And, in both births he was with Rama and Krishna.
