Jamunkhadi\u00a0 :Ward no. Of the then Surunga VDC of Jhapa district. 2 and 5 and currently located in Dandagaun of Kankai Municipality, Jamunkhadi wetland is a tourist area. It was established in 2052 BS. This densely forested area of \u200b\u200bthe Chure region is currently being developed as an excellent destination. Some parts of the local Jamunkhadi community forest have been declared wetland areas and started to be developed as tourist destinations.<\/p>\n

Deer roaming in Jamunkhadi.\u00a0 Out of 421 hectares of community forest land at a distance of about one kilometer north of the East-West Highway, 10 hectares, i.e. 14 wigs, 8 katthas and 6 dhurs of land has been developed as a wetland area. Because the Ganga pond does not exist at present, special initiatives have been taken for the protection and development of the Jamuna.<\/p>\n

The elongated pond in the middle of the 4 Vigah area is a major tourist attraction. Tourists can enjoy the orchards, kindergartens, colorful fish ponds, suspension bridges, etc. The endangered dragon has also been preserved in Jamunkhadi. Boats have been operated commercially in the pond keeping in view the economic income and fishing has also been done in the pond. You have to pay a fee of Rs 20 to enter Jamunkhadi. It is visited by 500 tourists daily. Every effort has been made to give full enjoyment to the tourists here and one can also enjoy the suspension bridge over the Jamun Pond.<\/p>\n

Out of 401.25 hectares of community forest land located at a distance of about one kilometer north of the East-West Highway, 10 hectares, i.e. 14 wigs, 8 katthas and 6 dhurs of land have been developed as wetland area.<\/p>\n

The Ganga and Jamuna ponds, which have historical background, do not exist at present due to lack of conservation in the area. The elongated pond in the middle of the 4 marriage area is a major tourist attraction. Boats have been operated commercially in the pond keeping in view the economic income and fishing has also been done in the pond. Dragons are considered to be one of the rarest dragons in the world. The deer and the roaring bear, the rabbit Dumsi, the tiger, etc. are the ornaments of the place.<\/p>\n

Jamunkhadi has been established as a popular tourist destination in the east. Occupying an area of \u200b\u200b400 hectares under the 34-hectare Jamunkhadi Community Forest, this wetland is becoming a tourist destination. There are Ganga-Jamuna ponds of historical importance in the Jamunkhadi wetland area. Jamuna Pokhari, located in the middle of an area of \u200b\u200bfour bighas, has become a tourist attraction. Boats and boats have been operated in the pond. A ‘mini zoo’ has also been set up by bringing animals like deer, leopard, bear, dragon, ostrich and rabbit from different places.<\/p>\n

There is also a picnic spot that can accommodate more than 200 people in one day. The annual turnover in Jamunkhadi is Rs 30 million.
