Everyone must have heard the name of Mount Kailash. While reciting Shiva Purana, Matsya Purana, Skanda Purana or the glory of Lord Shiva, the name and glory of ‘Mount Kailash’ is discussed everywhere.Mount Kailash is the holy mountain where the gods Aradhyadeva Mahadev and Mother Parvati reside.According to the mythological interpretation, the four faces of this mountain are in the form of rhinestones, rubies, sapphires, and gold ornaments. Situated between six glorious mountains like Hemshring, Vaidyut, Kakundaman and Varun, Shringwan and Hiranyashring, this mountain is also considered as a symbol of lotus flower. Lord Shiva himself is called by the name of Kailash.

It is also the holiest place of pilgrimage in Hinduism. Mount Kailash is a mysterious mountain. Where there are many secrets.It is also believed that Lord Shiva actually resides on Mount Kailash in Mansarovar. Hindus also believe that one should visit Kailash Mansarovar once in a lifetime. Mount Kailash is 22,068 feet above sea level. Located in the northern part of the Himalayas in Tibet, this mountain is also very beautiful.It has had special significance for various religions since ancient times. Pilgrimage of four religions

  • Kailash Mansarovar is an important pilgrimage site for Tibetan Buddhism, Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism.
  • Tibetans believe that a saint poet performed penance in a cave here many years ago.
  • Buddhists believe in the abode of Lord Buddha and Mani Padma.
  • Recognition of Jains Adinath Rishabhdev considers this construction site to be Ashtapada. According to them, Rishabhdev had traveled to Kailash in eight steps. Kailash region is also considered as Swayambhu.

Origin of rivers

Rakshas Tal Lake, Tibet

Mount Kailash is also the source of the Karnali River in Nepal. Four rivers have started flowing from four directions of Mount Kailash. These rivers include Brahmaputra, Indus, Sutlej and Karnali.From these rivers, Ganga, Saraswati and other rivers of China also start from this mountain.Kailash is surrounded by various animal-like figures. To the east is the horse’s mouth. The elephant in the west, the lion in the north and the yak in the south.Only yogis and meditators can live in this place. Who has a habit of living in such an environment. There are unimaginable mountains all around.

The voice of Damru and Om

A constant sound is heard in Mount Kailash or Mansarovar Lake area. If you listen with a meditative and concentrated mind, you will hear the sound of drums and om. According to scientists, this sound is believed to have come from melting snow. It is also believed that the sound of ‘om’ may have been heard from the combination of light and sound.

Yeti secret

According to the Himalayan people, there are Yeti found here .Some even call it a mountain bear, while others call it a wild man or a snow man. It is even believed that Yeti kill and eat people. Some scientists consider it a fearless place.

Two mysterious Lake

There are 2 mysterious lakes. One is Mansarovar and the other is a lake called Rakshas. Mansarovar is one of the highest pure water lakes in the world. Which is considered like the sun. The second monster is the lake where the water is not considered sacred. It is compared to the moon. Both of these lakes are associated with the sun and the moon Which is believed to give positive and negative energy.

Why no one has been able to climb Mount Kailash till today, does Lord Shiva really live there?

There are many stories behind the fact that no one has ever been able to climb Mount Kailash. Some people believe that Shiva resides on Mount Kailash and that is why no living person can reach there. Only Kailash can conquer after death or he who has never committed any sin. It is also believed that a person becomes disoriented as soon as he climbs Mount Kailash a little. Since climbing without direction means feasting on death, no human has been able to climb Mount Kailash till date.According to media reports, a climber wrote in his book that he had tried to climb Mount Kailash, but it was impossible to stay on this mountain, as body hair and nails start growing fast there. Apart from this, Mount Kailash is also very radioactive.Also said that the slope (angle) of Mount Kailash is also more than 65 degrees, while in Mount Everest it is 40-60, which makes its climb more difficult. This is also one of the reasons that climbers climb Everest, but cannot climb Mount Kailash.Sergei Sistiakov, a Russian mountaineer, said: ‘My heart started pounding as I approached Mount Kailash. I was right in front of that mountain, which no one could climb till today, but suddenly I started feeling very weak and I started thinking that I should not stay here anymore. After that, as I came down, my mind became lighter. The last attempt to climb Mount Kailash was made about 18 years ago, i.e. in the year 2001. When China allowed a Spanish team to climb Mount Kailash. At the moment, climbing Mount Kailash is completely banned, as people from all over the world, including India and Tibet, believe that this mountain is a sacred place, so no one should be allowed to climb it.However, it is said that only 92 years ago, in the year 1928, a Buddhist monk Milarepa was able to go to the foothills of Mount Kailash and climb it. He was the first person in the world to return to this sacred and mysterious mountain alive. It is also mentioned in the Puranic Sahihs.
