Lakes of Nepal, Nepal is a unique gift of natural beauty. Naturally, there are many important places in Nepal. There are many natural resources in the Himalayan region, hilly region and Terai region.

Rara Lake
Lately, Rara Lake has been an attraction for domestic and foreign tourists. In the past, it was difficult to travel due to lack of road connectivity, but lately it has become easier. . It is the largest lake in Nepal. The beauty of Rara Lake at sunset and dawn fascinates everyone.
At an altitude of 2990 m (9810 ft) above sea level, the lake falls within the Ramsar area under Rara National Park in Jumla and Mugu districts. Spread over a length of 5.1 km and a width of 2.7 km, the lake has a surface area of 1.8 sq km and a depth of 167 m. Rara Lake was declared a Ramsar site in 2007.
Tilicho Lake
It is the highest lake in Nepal. Tilicho Lake, located at an altitude of 4919 m (16,138 ft) above sea level, belongs to the Annapurna Protected Area in Manang District.
Spread over an area of 4.8 square kilometers, the lake is 85 meters (2879 feet) deep, 4 kilometers long and 1.2 kilometers wide. Its main feature is that there are no aquatic creatures here. The view of the mountains around the lake adds to the beauty.
Se-Foksundo Lake
Foksundo Lake, located in Dolpa District, is 3615 meters above sea level. Spread over an area of about 4.94 square kilometers, the lake is 5.15 kilometers long and 800 meters wide.
The lake was declared a Ramsar site in 2007. This is the deepest lake in Nepal. Its depth is 145 meters (476 feet).
Gosainkunda
Gosaikunda is located in Rasuwa district at an altitude of 4,380 meters above sea level. The area of this lake in Langtang National Park is 13.8 hectares. A special fair is held in this area on the day of Janai Purnima.
Cho Rolpa
Cho Rolpa Lake in Dolakha district is located at an altitude of 4,580 meters. Spread over an area of 154 hectares, the lake falls under the Gaurishakar Protected Area. The maximum depth of the lake is 270 meters and its length is 3.45 kilometers.
Phewa Lake
Located at an altitude of 742 meters (2434 feet) above sea level, the Lake Barahi Temple in the middle of the lake adds to the beauty of the lake. Located in an area of 4.43 square kilometers, the length of the lake is 17 kilometers and the maximum depth is 24 meters. Phewa in Pokhara is one of the most visited lakes. Pancha Pokhari
