Work at a salary of 800 per month:
Before entering the film world, Amitabh Bachchan worked as a radio presenter and executive in a shipping company in Kolkata. At that time, Amitabh used to get a salary of 800 rupees a month. He left his job in 1968 and came to Mumbai. Coming to Mumbai, Amitabh had a letter of recommendation from the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Amitabh was removed from the film Goody:
Amitabh Bachchan initially played the lead role in Rishikesh Mukherjee’s film Guddi. Amitabh had also shot some scenes of the film. But later, Amitabh was removed from the film for not shooting the film. First foreign trip after marriage with Jaya:
Amitabh and Jaya’s wedding took place a month before the release of their film Abhiman. During the shooting of the film Zanjeer, the producer had announced that if the film became a hit, all the actors would be taken abroad. After the film became a hit, Amitabh asked his father Haribansh Rai Bachchan for permission to take Jaya abroad, but after his father instructed her to take Jaya abroad only after marriage, the two got married and went on their first foreign trip.
