About 2500 years ago, Vardhaman was born as the third child of father Siddhartha and mother Trishla in Kshatriya Kundalpur of Vaishali Republic (now Basadh village of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, India). He became Mahabir Swami after Bardhaman. Mahabir Swami was the epitome of non-violence. His life was full of sacrifice and extravagance. He did not collect a single log. Born in an age when violence, animal sacrifice and caste discrimination were rampant, Mahavira taught the world the lessons of truth and non-violence.

Mahavira’s father was a follower of the 23rd Jain Tirthankar Pashrvanath (Pashrvanath was 250 years before Mahavir). It is said that when Mahavira was a child, the god Indradi took him to the Sumeru mountain to celebrate his birth. Mahavira’s childhood was spent in the palace. In his youth, he married a princess named Yashoda. She gave birth to a daughter named Priyadarshana. Mahavir’s parents died when he was 28 years old. At the request of his brother Nandivardhan, Mahavir stayed at home for two years. At the age of 30, he was initiated on the day of Margashirsha Krishna Dashami.

After receiving the initiation, Mahavira practiced asceticism, restraint and equality. He practiced the religion of Panch Mahavrat. He realized that the pleasures of sensuality can only be achieved by hurting others. So he treated everyone with love and taught the world the lesson of non-violence.

According to Mahabir, religion is the best welfare. Non-violence, restraint and penance are the only religion. Mahavira says, “Even the gods greet those who are pious, who always have religion in their minds.”

In his discourse, Lord Mahavira placed the greatest emphasis on religion, truth, non-violence, celibacy, abstinence and forgiveness. Sacrifice and restraint, compassion and love, modesty and virtue were the essence of his discourse. Lord Mahavira established the Chaturvidha Sangh and through it spread the holy message by visiting different regions.

Mahavira told the world the principle of Panchsheel. Panchasheel includes truth, non-acceptance, non-violence, non-violence and forgiveness. Mahabir Swami’s Panchsheel principle is true. Regarding the truth, Lord Mahavira Swami says- ‘O man! You understand the truth as the true element. The wise man obeys the truth. He swims over death.

Non-violence

Don’t use violence against all the terrifying creatures in this world (one, two, arrow, four and five senses), don’t stop them from moving forward on their own path. Have pity on them in your heart. Protect them. This is the message of non-violence given to us by Mahavira.

Non-acquisition

Abstinence means not collecting or storing anything. In this regard, Mahavira says, “A person who collects animate or inanimate things himself, collects from others or agrees to collect from others, will never be relieved of suffering.”

Celibacy

Mahavira Swami says- Brahmacharya is the root of perfect penance, rules, knowledge, philosophy, character, restraint and humility. Brahmacharya is the best of the penances. Men who do not have relations with women move towards the path of salvation.

Sorry

Regarding forgiveness, Mahabir says, “I want forgiveness from all living beings.” I have friendship with all living beings in the world. I have no enmity with anyone. I am steadfast in religion with a true heart. I apologize to all living beings for the entire crime. I forgive all the creatures for the crimes they have committed against me. ‘

Mahabir also says, “May all the sinful instincts that I have committed in my mind, all the sinful instincts that I have revealed through the Word, and all the sinful instincts that I have committed out of the body, fail.” Let all my sins be false.

Mahavira

Mahavira developed the extremes of non-violence in his lifetime. Lord Mahavira, who taught the whole world the lesson of non-violence, attained salvation at the age of seventy-two on the night of Kartik Krishna Amavasya in the city of Pavapuri. During his Nirvana, the kings of the 18 republics present celebrated Nirvana. Mahavira Swami is also called Vardhaman, Veer, Ativir and Sanmati.

Swami Vivekananda : Life

Swami Vivekananda, On September 11, 1893, religious thinkers from around the world were meeting in Chicago, USA. Distinguished personalities of all religions were invited to discuss their religion.

Swami Vivekananda  came to the United States from India in an unusually ocher robe to speak about Hinduism. The onlooker did not think that he was worthy of that miraculous speech. Wherever religious leaders from around the world gathered, there were crowds of people showing off their splendor and wealth. Meanwhile, Vivekananda’s ocher-clad Lavai surprised everyone.

At the same time, two Americans of Indian descent came to meet Vivekananda. The question they asked Vivekananda was in Hindi. But Vivekananda introduced himself in English. When the American asked the question again in English, Vivekananda answered in Hindi. Surprised, when asked why, Vivekananda replied, “When you respected my mother (your language), I respected the language here.”

Whenever you honored your mother here, I also honored my own mother. ‘It is said that both of them then became disciples of Vivekananda. Today marks 127 years since Vivekananda made the world aware of the positive aspects of Eastern philosophy through this knowledge. Today, many had the opportunity to learn about Eastern philosophy.

Scholarship cannot stand within any political boundaries.

Vivekananda’s speech in the United States states that a large number of Americans became acquainted with Eastern scriptures and even became followers of many Eastern philosophies. Born on 12 January 1863 in Kolkata, Narendra Nath was succeeded by Swami Vivekananda.

The Philosophy
Swami Vivekananda

Here are some features of Vivekananda’s speech in Chicago

1. Dear American brothers and sisters, my heart is filled with love for welcoming you. I would like to thank the world’s oldest saint and mother of all religions. I would like to thank on behalf of millions of Hindus of all castes and communities.

2. I would also like to thank the speakers who spoke at this forum, who made it clear that the concept of tolerance in the world has spread from Eastern cultures and countries that preserve those cultures.

3. I am proud to belong to a religion that has taught the world a lesson of tolerance and universal acceptance. We not only believe in universal tolerance, but we believe in the truth of all religions.

4. I am proud to be from a religion that sheltered the Parsi and is still helping them.

5. On this occasion, I would like to recite a verse that has been memorized since childhood, which is sung by millions of people every day. ‘Just as rivers originate from different places and reach the sea through different paths, so people choose different paths of their own free will.’ Although these paths look different, the destination of all of them is only to God.

6. The present conference is probably the holiest gathering ever, and the assembly itself is a testament to the teachings of the Geeta. “Everybody who comes to me, no matter who he is, I reach him. People choose different paths, face problems, but in the end they come to me.”

7. Communalism, bigotry, and the religious fervor of its terrible dynasty have long been entrenched in this beautiful earth. They have filled this earth with violence and how many times this earth has turned red with blood. I don’t know how many civilizations were destroyed, how many countries were destroyed.

8 Without these dangerous monsters, human society would be much better off now. But his time is up. I hope that the trumpet of this conference will destroy all bigotry, crookedness and misery. Whether it is with a sword or with a pen.
