AD to BS Date Converter (English to Nepali Date)
Convert any English (AD) date to Nepali Bikram Sambat (BS) date instantly, with the Nepali day name. Today's Nepali date is shown automatically.
How it works
Pick an AD date and the matching BS date appears with the day of the week in Nepali and English. The conversion uses the official month lengths of the Nepali calendar, so it matches the Nepali patro.
Supports 1975 to 2100 BS (13 April 1918 to April 2044 AD). Month lengths follow the official Nepali calendar; years after 2090 BS use the published projected calendar.
Frequently asked questions
What is today's Nepali date?
Open this page: today's BS date (Nepal time) is filled in automatically.
Why do BS months have 29 to 32 days?
Bikram Sambat months follow the sun's movement, so their length changes from year to year. That is why a table of month lengths is needed for exact conversion.
