There is no need to be confused as it is repeated in general knowledge, school and university textbooks.Even though the environment around you looks deserted due to falling leaves of other plants, today the national flower Laligurans has made the forest bright. After a long study by experts, the then King Mahendra declared  Rhododendron  as the national flower in 2019 BS.

The constitution made public by King Mahendra on January 26, 2019 BS included national animals, birds, flowers, flags, colors and other national identities. In that exhibition, many foreigners talked about the national flower of Nepal.

According to botanists, the English word rhododendron is a combination of the Latin words rhododendron (red) and dendron (tree). One thousand one hundred and fifty-seven species of Rhododendron have been found worldwide. According to the Department of Vegetation, 31 species have been identified in Nepal. About 10 percent of the total forest area of Nepal is mixed forest. Such forest covers an area of 692,000 hectares.

The confluence of Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha and Terhathum in the eastern part of Nepal is covered with the forest of Laliguran at Tinjure, Milke, Jaljale (TMJ). The number of internal and external tourists visiting TMJ is very high as many types of gurans make the forest colorful throughout the months of March, April, May and June. That is why the government has declared TMJ, the capital of Rhododendron , as an important tourist destination in Nepal. The area can be reached via Dharan-Dhankuta, a tourist town in the east, and Basantapur Tutedeurali in Tehrathum. It can also be reached from different areas of Taplejung and Sankhuwasabha. Kishor Thulung Rai, a journalist from Dharan, says that they have to wait for the month of Chait to bloom as the temperature has not improved this time.

In Nepal, Laligurans Gurans are found at an average altitude of 1,300 to 2,500 meters above sea level. Apart from Laligurans, other types of Gurans have also been found at an altitude of 4,500 meters. Rhododendron , also known as rhododendron nivals in mountainous areas, are also called snow snow. Ren नागरिक de Millville, a French national who is also a tourist guide, had visited TMJ several times during the Panchayat period. He had prepared a report on the biodiversity and Gurans species there and suggested the then Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa to conserve the region.

Following the path suggested by Millville, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) started conservation activities at TMJ in 2050. When the current President Bidyadevi Bhandari was the Forest Minister in 2054 BS, conservationists made her aware of its importance and suggested making it a protected area. After the then Ministry of Environment and Population declared Laligurans National Conservation Area in 2055 BS, the concept of protected area by the community has moved forward.
