Legend has it that Shiv Sena Kartikeya dropped his weapon of power and killed Yamaraj after Yamaraj tried to take him away by force.

Then the messengers went and told the sun. Upon hearing the news of his son’s death, Lord Surya, Brahma and the gods along with Yamaraj’s army came to the place of death There the gods began to praise Lord Shankara. There is a classical belief that Lord Shiva appeared at that time.

But, the person who is a devotee of me and Lord Vishnu. Yamaraj has no right to his death. ‘It is believed that Lord Shiva obeyed the gods and gave his life to Yamaraj.
