सही: ० / ०
-
Choose the correct passive form: Someone has stolen my bicycle.
सही उत्तर: ग) My bicycle has been stolen.
The present perfect passive is has/have + been + past participle, so 'has been stolen' is correct. When the doer is unknown ('someone'), the 'by' phrase is usually omitted.

-
Choose the correct option: The application form must ___ in black ink.
सही उत्तर: ख) be completed
After a modal verb, the passive is formed with 'be' + past participle: 'must be completed'. 'Must completed' is incorrect because a modal must be followed by a base verb.

-
Choose the correct option: English ___ in many countries around the world.
सही उत्तर: क) is spoken
Language is spoken by people, so the passive 'is spoken' is required for a general fact. 'Speaks' would wrongly make English the doer of the action.
💬 टिप्पणी / गल्ती रिपोर्ट (०)
-
Choose the correct option: The bridge ___ at the moment, so traffic is diverted.
सही उत्तर: घ) is being repaired
The present continuous passive is formed with 'is/are being' + past participle. 'Is repairing' would wrongly mean the bridge is doing the repairs.

-
Choose the correct option: The results ___ next week.
सही उत्तर: ग) will be announced
Results do not announce themselves, so a passive form is needed: will + be + past participle. 'Will be announce' is wrong because the past participle 'announced' is required.
💬 टिप्पणी / गल्ती रिपोर्ट (०)
-
Choose the correct passive form: The committee approved the new policy.
सही उत्तर: ख) The new policy was approved by the committee.
The active verb is simple past ('approved'), so the passive uses 'was' + past participle. 'Is approved' changes the tense to present.

-
Choose the correct option: If he had taken the job in Sydney, he ___ in Australia now.
सही उत्तर: क) would be living
This is a mixed conditional: a past condition (had taken) with a present result (now), so 'would be living' is correct. 'Would have lived' refers to a past result, which clashes with 'now'.
💬 टिप्पणी / गल्ती रिपोर्ट (०)
-
Choose the correct option: You won't get a visa ___ you submit all the required documents.
सही उत्तर: घ) unless
'Unless' means 'if not', so the sentence means you won't get a visa if you do not submit the documents. 'If' would reverse the logic and make the sentence illogical.
💬 टिप्पणी / गल्ती रिपोर्ट (०)
-
Choose the correct option: ___ I known about the traffic, I would have left earlier.
सही उत्तर: ग) Had
'Had I known' is the inverted form of 'If I had known' in a third conditional. 'If I known' is ungrammatical because 'had' is missing.
💬 टिप्पणी / गल्ती रिपोर्ट (०)
-
Choose the correct option: ___ you need any help, please contact the reception.
सही उत्तर: ख) Should
'Should you need...' is an inverted, formal form of 'If you need...'. 'Had' inversion is used for third conditionals and 'Were' for second conditionals.
