CTEVT Notices: How to Find Entrance, Exam, and Scholarship Updates

Understanding Official CTEVT Notices

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is the national apex body overseeing technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Nepal. Throughout the academic year, CTEVT publishes official notices concerning entrance examinations, classified and merit scholarships, curriculum revisions, exam routines, and result publications.

For students pursuing Pre-Diploma or Diploma/PCL (Proficiency Certificate Level) courses in fields such as nursing, civil engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and computer technology, tracking these notices promptly is critical for adhering to strict application deadlines.

Major Types of CTEVT Notices

CTEVT issues notices across several functional categories:

• Entrance Exam Notices: Announcements regarding application forms, deadlines, minimum academic eligibility, and admit card distributions for full-paying and classified (free) scholarship quotas.
• Examination Routines and Centers: Schedules for regular and back/chance examinations for semester and annual programs, alongside designated exam centers across all seven provinces.
• Results and Re-totaling: Final score listings, merit lists for scholarship seat allocations, and procedures for applying for answer-sheet re-totaling.
• Institutional Accreditation and Affiliation: Directives for polytechnics, technical schools, and private partner colleges regarding seat capacities and standard operational guidelines.
• Short-Term Vocational Training: Calls for applications under government-sponsored employment and skill-training initiatives (such as National Skill Testing Board – NSTB certifications).

Where to Check Verified CTEVT Notices

Due to the prevalence of outdated schedules on social media, candidates should verify all announcements directly through authorized CTEVT outlets:

• Central Web Portal: Check the official website at official primary URL is ctevt.org.np for centralized policy and program announcements.
• Examination Controller Office (OCE): Access specific routine, entrance, and result bulletins directly via the OCE portal at official exam portal URL is ctevtexam.org.np.
• Provincial Offices: CTEVT maintains provincial offices (Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim) that often release province-specific quotas and exam center allocations.
• National Dailies: Major notices, particularly entrance calls and national scholarship announcements, are legally mandated to appear in national newspapers such as Gorkhapatra.

Key Steps When an Entrance or Scholarship Notice Appears

1. Read the Eligibility Criteria: Different programs require specific minimum GPA scores and grade thresholds in compulsory subjects (typically Mathematics, Science, and English).
2. Prepare Quota Documentation: If applying for reserved categories (such as Janajati, Dalit, Madhesi, remote areas, or government school quotas), gather official recommendation letters issued by local governments (Palikas) in advance.
3. Note Fee Deadlines: Notices define strict windows for regular fee submission and a brief double-fee period. Application fees and bank account details change periodically, so check the specific notice text before depositing funds.
4. Online Application Submission: Most CTEVT entrance applications are now processed through the online ITMS portal. Ensure digital scans of passport photos, academic transcripts, and citizenship/birth certificates meet the specified file-size limits.
