Read the passage and answer the question. With translation apps improving every year, some students ask why they should spend years learning a foreign language. I understand the question, but I think it misses the point. An app can help you order a meal or read a sign, yet it cannot help you understand a joke, build a friendship or notice what a person means but does not say. Learning a language is not only about exchanging information; it is a way of entering another culture. Apps are useful tools, but they are no substitute for real learning. What is the writer's main argument?

Read the passage and answer the question. Planting a tree seedling: First, dig a hole about twice as wide as the roots but no deeper than the pot. Next, gently remove the seedling from its pot and loosen any roots that are tightly wound. Place the seedling in the hole so that the top of the soil is level with the ground, then fill the hole and press the soil down firmly.
