Paras Khadka : The Shining Star in Nepali and International Cricket


Paras Khadka is a Nepali cricketer and former captain. He was born on 7th Kartik 2044 and accordingly on 24th October 1987. Paras Khadka is a right-handed batsman and right-handed medium bowler. His cricketing journey began in 2002 with the U-15 team. Paras Khadka has been playing for the Nepali national team since 2004. Paras has been the captain of the Nepali national team since 2009. In 2019, Paras resigned as captain.

Under the captaincy of Paras Khadka, Nepal had played the T20 World Cup in 2014. Paras Khadka had won the Player of the Year award in 2066 BS and 2069 BS. Paras has already played in T-10 league. Paras Khadka has played six ODIs and 27 T20I matches for Nepal. Nepal has played 40 other ODIs and 50 T20I matches for the national team. Paras has played in Nepal’s U-15 and U-17 teams as well as three U-19 World Cups. Paras joined Team Abu Dhabi for 10,000 US dollars (Rs. 1.1 million).

He has twice won the Player of the Year award given by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum every year. He is a B.Sc. He won the player title of the year 2066 and 2069. Under the leadership of Nepali national cricket team captain Paras, Nepal won the B.Sc. In 2069, he won two international competitions and reached the final of one. The team captained by Paras won the ICC World Cricket League Division 4 in Malaysia and the ACC Elite Trophy 2013 in Dubai. Similarly, the final of ACC T-20 Cup 2013 was played in Chait in Nepal. Paras became the Man of the Series in both the ACC competitions.

Under his leadership, the Armed Police Force (APF) also had success in domestic competitions. He is currently in New Zealand to play in the 2014 Cricket World Cup qualifiers.
