Visit Nepal, With neither winter nor summer temperatures, the weather is ideal for walking. Notes Nepal has recommended seven destinations in seven states that can be visited by tourists on the year 2020. The list is based on the tourist destinations shown interest by domestic tourists.

State 1 : Sagarmatha Base Camp

Everest trekking, one of the major choices of foreign tourists visiting Nepal, has recently started attracting domestic tourists as well. According to Angtasi Sherpa, a tourism entrepreneur from Lukla, trekking to the base camp of Everest is an excellent experience for those who like trekking.

Although there are various footpaths in the Everest region, Kalapathar is a suitable place to see the highest peak in front of the eyes. It is located at an altitude of 5,555 meters above sea level. From this place, one can see Mount Everest and other mountains at 360 degrees.

  • How to Reach

You have to travel by air from Kathmandu to Lukla, then the trek starts. A total of two weeks should be set aside for this.

 

State 2 : Janakpur Dham

The Janaki Temple of Janakpur, the capital of ancient Mithila, is a major tourist destination of the state. Religiously and culturally rich Maithili civilization, this temple is a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus.

The Janaki temple, built in the Mughal style, is also grand and attractive in terms of art. The Government of Nepal is making efforts to list the Janaki Temple as a World Heritage Site. Ram Temple, Gangasagar Pond are additional attractions of Janakpur.

  • How to reach?

Janakpur, 265 kilometers from Kathmandu, is an eight-hour bus ride away. In addition, there are daily flights.

 

State 3 : Nagarkot

Nagarkot is easily accessible from the capital for scenic views. Nagarkot is one of the top ten places in the world for beautiful views of sunrise and sunset.

From here, not only the mountains including Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh, Cho Yu, Gaurishankar, but also the highest peak Everest can be seen when the weather is open. Hiking from Nagarkot to Sankhu, Dhulikhel and Chisapani is also famous.

  • How to reach?

Nagarkot can be reached from Kathmandu via Kamal Binayak of Bhaktapur by public bus. It is an hour’s drive from Kathmandu by private vehicle.

 

State 4 : Mukti Nath ,Mustang

Panoramic scenery, isolated geography, mountain lifestyle, religious heritage, etc. are the attractions of the trans-Himalayan district of Mustang. Muktinath, famous for its Annapurna footpath among foreign tourists, is a center of religious faith for domestic tourists. The Muktinath area is a common pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Most of the tourists visiting Mustang prefer to travel to Lower Mustang, which is a three-hour walk from the district headquarters Jomsom to Kagbeni. The Upper Mustang, with its rugged terrain, is also a treasure trove of Tibetan lifestyle and culture, with ancient monasteries, stupas, etc.

Mustang can be reached by private vehicle from Kathmandu. Pokhara-Jomsom also operates daily flights.

 

State 5 :Swargadwari

Pyuthan’s Swargadwari is a mine of religious as well as natural beauty. According to the Puranas, the name Swargadwari is considered to be the last path used by the five Pandavas to go to heaven. From here, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and other mountains can be seen.

  • How to reach?

From Kathmandu, take a bus to Rolpa, get off at Bhingri in Pyuthan, and after a three-hour walk from Bhingri, you reach Swargadwari. Private vehicles reach the Swargadwari temple. Rolpa’s bus can also be taken by air from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.

 

State 6 : Sinja Valley, Jumla

Karnali is a historical place in the Sinja Valley. Sinja is the place of origin of the Nepali language. Carrying the identity of a powerful state out of 22 states, Sinja falls on the way to Rara, the largest lake in the country. After reaching Sinja, one can take a three-hour bus ride from there to visit the Chandannath Temple in Khalanga Bazaar.

  • How to reach?

After a 45-minute flight from Nepalgunj, one can reach Khalanga of Jumla and from there a three-hour drive to Sinja Valley. Also, after a 12-hour journey by public transport from Surkhet, Sinja is reached.

 

State 7 : Khaptad

is a unique gift of natural beauty. Although it used to be green in this season in the past, nature has not been very open this year due to heavy snowfall.

Religious places like Khaptad Baba’s Kuti, Triveni river, Khapper Daha, Shiva temple, Sahasralinga, Kedardhunga are worth visiting in the Khaptad region called Bhusvarga. There are 22 fields, big and small.

  • How to reach?

After the 650 km bus journey from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi, the bus journey from there to Doti’s Silgadhi in eight hours and from Silgadhi to Jigrana at the entrance of Khaptad in about four hours by reserving a jeep. Triveni of Khaptad is reached in one day from Zigrana.
