Lord Hanuman is known as the only devotee of Rama. There is nothing he cannot do. Hanuman, the lord of infinite strength, wisdom and might, is the lord of Ashtasiddhika. How to build a statue of Lord Hanuman?
As mentioned in the Agni Purana, when making a statue of Hanuman, one should show that he had a thunderbolt in one hand and the ground was washed away under his feet. Rao has said that when making an idol of Hanuman, the length should be made by reaching a little above the nitto, chest or thigh of Rama. According to the Saptatal measurements, a statue of Hanuman should be made by measuring 84 langurs and only two hands should be made.
The right hand should be held close to the mouth and the left hand should be bent up to the knee. Hanuman should make a face like a devotee or a servant.
