Jalbire Jharana
Jalbire Jharana : The waterfall (long waterfall) full of natural beauty is a great tourist destination of Chitwan. Tourists, eager to see the picture, are delighted. Jalbire Jharna is becoming an attractive tourist destination without any infrastructure. Although the construction of toilets, changing rooms, swimming pools, parks and stairs has added attraction in the last few years, the construction of infrastructure and proper publicity has not been done yet.
Tourists come here spontaneously. Tourists from India also come here to enjoy. Amar Singh of Bharat Raxaul, who is walking around the waterfall, says, “It is a pleasure to arrive at the waterfall.” Once a month his group comes to enjoy the natural beauty of the waterfall. Along with him, Ramesh Shah, Brij Shah and Ravi Shah of Bihar Motihari also enjoyed walking around the long waterfall.
Tourists who visit at any time are mesmerized by the waterfall. The beautiful natural scenery and the fountain of water falling from the long ridge and the touch of cool water particles and cool air coming from it attracts the tourists.
To get rid of the intense heat, noise, stress and fatigue of Narayangarh, domestic tourists flock here. General Secretary of Chitwan Tourism Development Committee and tourism expert Bishwaraj Subedi analyzes that it is a beautiful area for natural scenery.
Subedi sees the need to develop Gurung culture by constructing a homestay in Yakrang, a village above the waterfall. The view of Trishuli and Narayangadh-Muglin roads from above is breathtaking. The attraction is added by the lascar of vehicles like the matchbox seen from the top of the hill.
Among the 40 best tourist attractions identified in Chitwan, Jalbire Jharna is one of the best destinations. The waterfall in Ichchakamana village municipality-6 is more than 60 meters long.
The waterfall can be reached by walking for about half an hour from the Jalbire temple on the Narayangarh-Muglin road. Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee Dev Kumar Gurung says that the waterfall and the surrounding areas have been becoming well-organized recently due to the addition of infrastructure.
At present, at least 100 tourists visit the waterfall daily. The committee has statistics that the maximum number of tourists has reached 1,200 in a day. The waterfall falls in Jalbir under Narayangarh-Muglin road. Located 29 km from Narayangarh towards Muglin, the area is a destination for tourists staying in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Sauraha.
Chairman of the committee Gurung said that tourists from Kathmandu and Europe also come for canyoning and climbing, swimming, sliding, jumping and hiking. Tourists used canonization even before the infrastructure was built. The Canoning Association has been bringing tourists here.
Tourists are charged Rs 50 to enter here. Due to its natural beauty and cool and serene environment, it attracts a lot of domestic tourists. Since the development of tourism started in 2069 BS, various programs have been held here for the last few years to make it a tourist destination. This time alone, Ichchakamana village municipality has allocated Rs. 8 lakh for the construction of stairs and park, said Gita Kumari Gurung, chairperson of the village municipality.
Adequate tourist infrastructure is not being built here. However, the number of tourists is increasing. Hundreds of tourists come here in groups on Saturdays and holidays. It is necessary to arrange homestay, picnic site, view tower and road by arranging attractive bridges.
